What I do at Mindful Meditation Australia

I help bring out the best in people by facilitating workshops for teachers, not-for-profit organisations and health workers, and workplaces. I also run workshops with parents to help them bring mindfulness into their homes and everyday family life.

Ultimately, my job is to enhance the wellbeing of our community through the benefits of mindfulness.

How I got here

I initially spent 17 years as a school psychologist running evidence-based wellbeing programs to support students and heading up professional learning/wellbeing initiatives for staff. More recently, I've come onboard MMA as a Lead Facilitator, and an Associate Senior Trainer with the Institute of Positive Education at Geelong Grammar School. I really enjoy co-running my own business which empowers school communities and families to flourish using science and skills of Positive Psychology and Positive Education. I have also enjoyed being the Chair of School Board for an independent public school for six years.

Best thing about my job

I get to do what I love - diving deep into my passion for Positive Psychology, mindfulness and Positive Education.

Ways I practise mindfulness and/or meditation

I try to set aside moments of deep breathing throughout the day. As a meditation practitioner for over 18 years, I also regularly share moments of mindfulness and meditation with my own children.
