Why mindfulness and meditation?

These practices have significant positive effects on a range of health, social and wellbeing outcomes. Like: Reduced depression, anxiety, addiction, stress and chronic pain. Benefits include improved quality of life, relationships, compassion, attention and working memory. (Creswell, 2017)

Mindful Meditation Australia is a philanthropically funded not-for-profit organisation that believes evidence-based mindfulness and meditation practices have the potential to improve the mental, emotional and physical wellbeing of all Australians.

Meditation at Work aims to inspire a workplace where employees experience improved job performance, relationships and personal well-being by building attentional capacity, cognitive functioning and emotional intelligence through the practice of mindfulness and meditation.

About the Workshop

Participants will explore the science of mindfulness and meditation in the brain and workplace, and are given simple tools for bringing mindfulness into daily routines, and where appropriate, with clients.

The workshop also includes MMA’s signature whole organisation assessment and planning process. This will leave participants with mindfulness and meditation strategies to begin or strengthen a personal and professional mindfulness journey.

This workshop will give you:

  • An introduction to what mindfulness and meditation is
  • The science behind how & why it works
  • Mindfulness techniques, activities and tools for personal and professional use
  • Learn how to deliver some simple meditations
  • Learn how to easily implement mindfulness across your whole organisation
  • Using best practice implementation science, choose and plan strategies for your own organisation approach
  • Support from our experienced trainers
  • All notes, writing and session materials

Everything we deliver is subsidised through the generosity of our philanthropic founder, Kerry Harmanis. We charge a small amount to ensure sustainability and longevity of this initiative.
