In 2016, Mindful Meditation Australia partnered with the Western Australian School Psychologist Association to bring Monash University Associate Professor Craig Hassed to Perth to speak about the role of mindfulness in schools at The University of Western Australia.  Craig is behind the well-known online application ‘Smiling Minds’ that is now used by thousands of young people in Australian schools. Craig has been a key initiator in the development of well-researched mindfulness and meditation throughout our country, and we are honoured to support the School Psychologist Association to bring him to Western Australia to share his experience and knowledge on further advancing mindfulness and meditation in this country.

At the event, our founder and president Kerry Harmanis, shared Mindful Meditation Australia’s vision for mindfulness and meditation in Australia, while Craig delivered an informative presentation on the wide ranging benefits of mindfulness and meditation, particularly for young people.
